What is Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is the standard of a short ranged system designed to send data. Bluetooth is innovative and uses radio waves to transmit the data between devices.

Bluetooth’s purpose is to send pieces of information between devices for ease of access, things such as music, images, and documents. Bluetooth is designed to transmit small amounts of data, because of this, its battery consumption is much less than alternative data transfer solutions.

There have been many iterations of Bluetooth. The most important being Bluetooth classic and BLE(Bluetooth low energy), BLE is prominent in the newer versions of Bluetooth (4 & 5)
Currently, the newest versions of Bluetooth are, BLE and Bluetooth 4. Each has a set of benefits and niche scenarios it works in.
